This is such a fun idea! :)
ReplyDeleteI hate to be yet another "thanks for the comment on my blog" type of person, especially since we've been bloggy buddies for a while now, but I must chime in as well and say how much I looooove your comments. Seriously. They are so adorable and they always make me smile. I feel like you're talking to me face-to-face rather than just writing something down. Does that make sense? Just shows what a sparkling personality you have! xoxo
Hi sweet Alicia,
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to pop over to say thank you very, very much for all of your wonderfully nice comments recently. Regarding the photos of the real world 1940s gals, I tend to favourite and/or bookmark images I love when I find them on sites like Flickr, which is where all of those ones came from. I usually spend several hours a week doing research for my blog posts (and my own personal interest), so I tend to amass a lot of great images, many of which I try to share on Chronically Vintage.
Just as you like to dress from the the 20s, I almost never venture outside of the 1940s and 50s, but that doesn't mean I like earlier images any less. Any old photo is a treasure worth its weight in gold to me, and I so no matter the decade, I find it so much fun (not to mention informative) to view photos from the earliest of Victorian images right up to later decades of the 20th century.
Wishing you a beautiful Wednesday, my dear
Jessica
