  3. This is such a fun idea! :)

I hate to be yet another "thanks for the comment on my blog" type of person, especially since we've been bloggy buddies for a while now, but I must chime in as well and say how much I looooove your comments. Seriously. They are so adorable and they always make me smile. I feel like you're talking to me face-to-face rather than just writing something down. Does that make sense? Just shows what a sparkling personality you have! xoxo

  4. Hi sweet Alicia,

I just wanted to pop over to say thank you very, very much for all of your wonderfully nice comments recently. Regarding the photos of the real world 1940s gals, I tend to favourite and/or bookmark images I love when I find them on sites like Flickr, which is where all of those ones came from. I usually spend several hours a week doing research for my blog posts (and my own personal interest), so I tend to amass a lot of great images, many of which I try to share on Chronically Vintage.

Just as you like to dress from the the 20s, I almost never venture outside of the 1940s and 50s, but that doesn't mean I like earlier images any less. Any old photo is a treasure worth its weight in gold to me, and I so no matter the decade, I find it so much fun (not to mention informative) to view photos from the earliest of Victorian images right up to later decades of the 20th century.

Wishing you a beautiful Wednesday, my dear
