I Am Still Here!! I Have Broken LapTop Blues! :(

Hay everyone!! I feel terrible about not keeping my promise and updating my blog every week... My computer broke a while back and the only access I have to the internet at the moment is on public computers :( and to top everything off my dang camera broke too!! :( ugh! I hope everyone doesn't think I forgot about this place haha! I am excited to fill everyone in on what has been happening with me lately! :) I have been on allot of thrift-store hunts and I have found some wonderful things! one of those things being a wonderful pair of long evening gloves!!! :) (If I had a camera I would show you! :(

On another subject, my contortion is still going wonderful! :) progress has slowed a bit because of the cold weather and holiday season, but I am still very happy with my progress! :) I am excited to share with everyone that along with my contortion I have added a few new acts to my sideshow act, I have added fire preforming (fire eating, fire breathing, fire poi, fire fans, fire hoop, etc..), I am training in sword swallowing right now!, block head (not the most dainty thing in the world, but thats that haha), and I am hopping to start cyr wheel sometime very soon when I can afford one, knife throwing and target girl, and blade box! haha those are just some of my newly added acts to my forever growing act!

Now since I have started sword swallowing training I have been just a bit obsessed haha :P I found some wonderfully amazing vintage pictures of female sword swallowers that I am beyond excited to share! here they are!
The photo below is of lady Margurite
The photo below is of Edith Clifford swallowing 10 swords
The photo below is of lady vivian 1920-1930
This photo below is of Lady Vivian and Mimi Garneau

This photo below is of Mimi Garneau and another unknown male sword swallower
This photo below is of Mimi Garneau swallowing a saw
This photo below is of Mimi Garneau swallowing an early neon light up tube, she was the first   person to ever swallow a neon tube!
haha I love sword swallowing! I find it a wonderful and amazing art!

Now for the last thing I would like to show is this incredible video of a female knife thrower who uses her two young daughters ages 5 and 2 1/2 as target girls! their act was very popular in the 1950's
I hope everyone enjoys!!

Celebrating 3 Years Together! :)

Hello everyone! :) I'm am very excited to announce that on Augest 4th 2012 my boyfriend and I celebrated our 3rd year together! To celebrate we decided to go to the Ventura County Fair, it was a beyond amazing day, we were able to walk to the beach from the fair and go back and forth and we pleased. We ate our weight in funnel cake and fair food and i got to watch a goat get milked! :) I couldn't have asked for a better day! :) I'm so excited to share these pictures with you all so I hope you enjoy! :)

The beach was beautiful although all of this part was rocks haha

The sun was in our eyes haha this picture was originally a mess up picture but when I looked at it latter I loved it hahaha

Yummmy deep fried fair food! :) if you look closely we got our faces painted my boyfriend got a picture of a corn cob on his face and it said "I corn Alicia" hahahaha and mine said his name but with an actual heart hahaha

There was the cutest old-fashioned candy shop and they pulled the taffy right in-front of you! you can see the taffy being pulled if you look closely behind me! :) oh and I got the best fudge on a stick (which is what I'm holding)

I just adored this cute little truck! :)

And here is the beautiful view of the fair from the top of the Ferris wheel! :) the fair is much larger then what you can see on this picture hahaha we just tried to capture as much lights in the frame as we could :) there is allot more back there that is unlit haha :)

I hope everyone enjoyed these pictures! :)

Healthy Homemade Beggin' Strips

Hello everyone! :) I Apologize for my lack of posting, My boyfriend has been going through some medical problems lately, and iv been taking care of him, he has stomach ulcers and now he is limited to what foods he can eat. No acids or greasy, fatty foods, so bacon was out of the picture and he wasn't happy about that to say the least. Well I had the genius idea to buy him a few different brands of turkey bacon to see which one he preferred. Well JennieO lost with the end results resembling the dog treat brand Beggin' Strips, which are just full of junk and fillers. We only feed out dogs high quality dog food and care about their health. I would never feed my dogs Beggin' Strips, so my boyfriend said JennieO is fit for pet consumption, so we had the idea to make them treats with the JennieO bacon. And they worked great! :) they look, smell, and have a very close resemblance without all the junk fillers. I found some time today to put together this tutorial for everyone. I hope you all enjoy it! :)

We fried it in a pan, but you can bake them as well
.

JennieO Extra Lean Turkey Bacon 95% Fat Free

Cut in half with knife or scissors

Lay in a pan and fry (remember you can bake them too!)

Flip and cook on other side

Allow to cool for a quick minute and DONE!!!! Perfect, healthy, lean, dog treats.

Place into a Mason jar while still warm, to create a vacuum pressure on the lid when sealing. Then store in fridge to retain freshness. And the best part is, it only cost me $3 for 2 packs of JennieO on sale! :) that $1.50 a pack for these Beggin' Strips! :)

I hope everyone enjoyed this tutorial :)
