This first recipe comes from my wonderful mother, it was given to her by her godmother, and now I'm sharing it with you ritzy ladies. I hope your family enjoys this recipe as much as mine has.

Main Course: Tomato Soup With Cheese Filled Dumplings:

1/2 TSP. dries basil

cold buttermilk or plain milk

Heat soup on stove. Meanwhile mix your bisquick, salt, pepper, and dried basil together, then slowly start adding your buttermilk/milk until it just forms a ball (got get it too wet). Now pinch off pieces of your dumpling dough and roll it into a 1/2 inch balls, make a whole in the center of the ball and put in one cube of the cheddar cheese and roll the ball to seal the cheese in, repeat that process until you have filled all your dumplings. Once your soup has just started to boil reduce head and plop in the dumplings one by one and cook on medium heat gently pushing the dumpling down into the soup and be careful not to stir too much it could brake apart. cook the dumpling until they are fully cooked ( about 20 minutes ). once cooked serve in a bowl.

  1. Yummy is an understatement, this sounds thoroughly scrumptious! The orange salad dressing in particular has caught my eye, and will certainly be saved (along with the coconut brownies) to be tried soon (I think it might be lovely as the dressing for a cold pasta salad, too).

Thank you ever so sweetly for your comment on my post about Pantone's 2012 colour of the year - and for saying you'll dig out your favourite GF brownie recipe for me, I completely appreciate it.

Big hugs & joyful Wednesday wishes,
    Jessica
