Beatuiful As A Rose..... Skin Care And Homemade Make-Up Recipes

the sight and smell of roses... so fresh and delicate, the smell bring thoughts of love and romance. I have felt so lady-like whenever i use anything that either is made with roses or is scented with roses, there is just something so classic about about the smell. And in addition to being beautiful looking and smelling they have properties to make you look as beautiful as a rose yourself. here are some wonderful and simple recipes

this recipe is a sightly revised version of the cold cream recipe http://organic-oil.blogspot.com/2009/10/cold-cream-for-mature-and-dry-skin.html

Rosie-Posy Cold Cream:

2 TSP. rose water
2 TSP. yellow beeswax
2TBSP. almond oil
4 drops. rose essential oil (or any essential oil you prefer for your skin)
4 drops. myrrh essential oil (again or any oil you prefer)

melt beeswax and almond oil in a double boiler in another pot heat rose water to same temp. as the wax and oil. heat wax and oil until just melted then add in rose water whisk until it becomes thick then add your essential oils and whisk until fully combined. scoop into a clean jar with a tight lid. can be stored out of the fridge for about 4 days to a week maximum, and can be left in the fridge for about 2 weeks. But it really depends on keeping bacteria out when you use it.

How To Use:
apple a thick layer before going to sleep, when you wake up in the morning steam your face with a hot washcloth (not too hot) then rub your face in circular motions with a warm washcloth, once you have rubs your face clean, splash your face with cool water and apply a light moisturizer.

Fresh And Clean Rose Toner:

1/2 cup. rose water
1/3 cup. which hazel ( i use Thayers natural remedies Rose Petal Alcohol-Free Toner with Aloe Vera. for a more rose sent )

  1. The scent of roses is one of my most beloved fragrances in the whole wide world (which no doubt accounts for a good part of the reason why roses are my favourite flower), and as someone with very sensitive skin, I'm always looking for homemade beauty recipes that combine gorgeous scents with simple, pure ingredients like this. Bookmarked for trying just as soon as I track down the ingredients. Thank you!

Many thanks too for your wonderfully nice comment on my blog award post yesterday, I really appreciate it.

Wishing you a marvelous, relaxing weekend,
